What is pure pomace oil?
Pure Olive pomace oil is olive oil that is extracted from olive pulp after the first press. Once the mechanical oil extraction of olive oil is complete, approximately 5–8% of the oil remains in the pulp, which is then extracted using a chemical solvent. This solvent is then removed and the remaining oil is refined.
Our Pure Pomace Oil is then blended with virgin olive oil to give a higher smoke point than pure olive oil making it a great choice for all types of cooking. It has a mellow buttery flavour and will not overpower other ingredients making it a great base for frying, dressings and sauces.
Pomace oil contains almost 80% monounsaturated fat which helps to reduce cholesterol level in the body. It consists of various nutrients, which help the body stay healthy and fit. It is also rich in natural antioxidant Vitamin E, which boosts immunity, and Vitamin K, which improves bone density
